It’s been a busy first quarter at Veriph.One! We’ve been working overtime to improve your users’ experience through phone verification and phone-based MFA flows. As of today, all paying customers will get access to customization features we previously only offered to enterprise clients. We are sure you’ll enjoy these new capabilities as much as we enjoyed building them!

[Feature] First-class support for WhatsApp!

We understand how vital WhatsApp is for companies operating in Latin America, so we have invested heavily in improving how customers can integrate their WhatsApp Business phone numbers with our platform. As such, Veriph.One has become an official Meta Tech Provider and can now connect your WhatsApp Business phone numbers to our verification platform. This is incredible news because, now:

1. You can register a new WhatsApp number directly with us or migrate the one you already have with any other vendor. Let your users verify their identities directly with your branded WhatsApp number without all the hassle of managing the tech behind it!
2. We’ll manage your authentication templates for you and can create high-quality templates that Meta will instantly approve (assuming you have previously verified your business account).
3. You’ll get the lowest WhatsApp Business prices in the market. Unlike most vendors, we don’t charge additional fees for every message you send or receive.

Visit our dashboard (‘Integrations’ section on the navigation menu) to connect your WhatsApp account today! The feature is available to customers on any paid plan after covering a one-time fee to unlock the integration. Connecting your account won’t charge you monthly fees or anything else beyond the messages you send (based on Meta’s pricing).

[Feature] Fully customizable Inverse OTPs

If your software targets a less tech-savvy audience or has complex phone verification needs, your account would previously require additional customization to ensure the most seamless and enjoyable experience. Based on the most common use cases our clients need to cover, we compiled the most effective customization options and made them available to all paying customers in private beta. These features include:

1. Customizable expiration for Inverse OTPs – select a number between 3 and 30 minutes as the duration of an Inverse OTP so that tech-unsavvy users or those on a spotty connection get more time to go through the verification process without unnecessary friction. This can be configured per channel, meaning you can have independent settings for SMS and WhatsApp.
2. Personalizable templates — We know the boring “Do not edit (123)” Inverse OTP template sometimes doesn’t cut it, and in some cases, your users need a bit of a nudge to understand how to proceed. This is why we added the possibility of configuring your template and ensuring the message aligns with your brand and your audience's expectations. These templates are also managed per channel, as SMS is more limited than WhatsApp in message length and character sets.
3. Automated replies to verifications – Similarly, some users get distracted after sending their verification messages and forget to return to your app to continue their onboarding or transaction flow. For this reason, we are enabling auto-replies into your Inverse OTP processes so that the user receives a message after sending the OTP, reminding them to return to your app to continue the flow. This message can contain a button (WhatsApp only) or a deep link to your app to achieve the best user experience possible. Now, you might be thinking, isn’t this going to cost me? The good news is: Replying to user-initiated conversations on WhatsApp is free of charge! In the case of SMS, however, some charges might apply depending on your plan with us.

[Security] ISO27001 is coming soon!

As you probably know, cybersecurity is our top priority! Even though we make continuous efforts and investments to keep our platform secure, we also want to give your company peace of mind in the trust you have placed in us. As such, we are undergoing the necessary internal policies to fully align with one of the industry’s most trusted information security certifications: ISO27001. We expect to obtain this certification by the end of Q2 or around Q3 of the current year. Even though it isn’t a feature you might immediately benefit from, we believe we are a critical provider that must take cybersecurity seriously and protect your company’s assets and reputation under the highest standards.
